Offically EMPLOYED :)

Went to sign my apptmt letter today.
And dat was not the best part of it!

1) The HR lady was really really nice. She asked me abt my KS bag the 1st thing I sat down hahaa
2) They upped my salary during the provisional period :D
3) Aft probation period, I will be a perm staff, not 2-years contract as I thot initially
4) I was supposed to start work the VERY next day aft I touched down, but upon hearing where I'm gng and the time dat I'll be arriving in Sg, the lady FORBIDDED me to go to work on 14th. "You MUST rest for a week."
5) I made a new fren coz another girl went to sign her apptmt letter abt the same time as me. Diff dept but it was nice coz we went thru the medical check-up tgt :)))

I dunno what the work env will be like and I dunno if I'll be buried in a mountain of workload when I start working, but I can say I'm really really blessed with this opp as far as I'm concerned. And it's super amazing coz I was just telling giant I have to start work the day I return to sg and we were discussing wad a stupid idea of mine it was to tell them I can start working on the 14th. I prayed abt it last night and viola! Nth escapes God's perfect plan :)



Anw I went to Newlook again today (familiar changing room haha) and bought another dress and a pair of pumps. Newlook is seriously draining my money away :(

Met pops and his frens whom we'll be travelling tgt with in Europe.
Nice bunch!! And his frens like to shop lah I likeeee! hahaha
"aiya go until dere already, of coz must buy mah.... where is the shopping district huh?"

Met pops aft dat for LATE lunch at 4pm, aft the check-up...



I left hm early to take instant photos to pass to the HR today, and b4 dat I had to send in a soft copy, so I sent in one that pops took for me. During the signing of the apptmt letter, we took 15 mins to decide which photo shld I put on my staff pass... in the end we chose the one that pops took for me coz she thinks I look pwetty inside zzz

Gave dinner at Goodwoodpark with pops and his fam a miss and met mum for SHOPPING in the eveng instead hohoho..
Pops called to tell me abt the VERY NICE durian puff. shat, it's GWP's durian fest again -_-
But I wanted to spend more time with mum coz I'll be leaving next week for A MONTH... I'm gng to miss herrrrr :(
We had a good long chat during supper, eating KFC buddy meal hahaha I love my mum :)
I think we're both ppl who are worried abt getting fat but cant be bothered with trying to slim down...

And so it seems like everythings all good and well today yeah?
No it's not.
Coz I'm acting like I've finished my exams, even have time to blog and reply FB messages.
When I still have ONE more paper on Fri which I have not touched A SINGLE BIT.
argh!
And now I panic :((((

Food + Company

Been having lots of nice food and great company lately :)
I feel love and happiness!

Started with Leng's advance bday celebration at Dragon Gate: Dim Sum Buffet!!



I dun think we ate alot, but it was great to be able to spend time tgt since early aftnn, just chatting away and indulging in food :)

Went to church for gospel rally and went for supper tgt aft dat



We were practically tgt for the entire day :D

Den it was the start of mugging week :(
But wad best to cheer me up den a good shioky meet-up over steamboatXLB with my fav groupies!

I met up with CH, WL and my dearest Dahlingggggg :)
We met over Aston and big thanks to CH who treated us, yeah!!
So happy to see dahling :) She put on a LITTLE weight and I think she looks even more gorgeous now :) She'll be away for filming for quite some time... really looking forward to another meet up once she's back :)
I'm looking forward to WL's wedding toooo heeeheheh :X

BUT b4 we went to HER destination, we went to MINE first :)

New boots for Eu, suuuuuper worth the money I tell u coz there's my fav S word hanging all over the shop :)
I bought 2 slouchy cropped singlets and mum bought a pair of jeans :D Everybody's happy (just dat I'm happier)!
Met Ben there too!

And my dahling's bday pressie for ME :) the MAC pressed powder that I broke couple of mths ago... sweet beyond words :) Now everytime I use, I'll think of her :)

Went to Pop's house to stayover soo that we can finish our GEK proj in time.
Had prata s'whr near his house as Dupper (Din+Supper).
Full beyond words :S but food was cheap and good!!

Din really mange to stay up coz I think we were both too tired from all the late nights previously...
Woke up ard 8 to do it.. Early mornings are awesome, once u get past the I-need-to-pull-me-outta-bed part :)

The diving ppl went for their dive fair at suntec.
I tagged along, but went shopping at Newlook instead :P

I wanted to buy tops. Coz I realise I have alot of bottoms, but not many tops.
But because I was wearing dress today, I took a pair of denim shorts to try with my clothes.
In the end, I liked the denim shorts the MOST!
I seldom get such good fit for bottoms from European brands. If they fit me on the hips, they are often too loose on for my thighs...
I fit better in Korean/ Jap/ HK/ Taiwanese brands.
But I really really loved the one from newlook.....................................

SIAO. I will nv pay so much for a pair of denim SHORTS.
So I put it back onto the racks, albeit very reluctantly...
I even msg to pops to tell him abt it :(
Den he came over and find me (aft his own shopping) and as I wanted to show him the shorts, I realise that the other sizes had an orange tag on them.
SALESSSSSS!!!
To cut the story short, I bought it. hahahahah.
I hate myself for buying ANOTHER denim shorts, but I love it.

We went to church for Prayer Meeting in the evening.
Poppy gave his testimonial as a Christian today, on stage!!! :):):)
Soo proud of u popssss!
Then we shared abt our week and prayed for one another.

It feels really goood to experience God and feel His presence amidst all the crazy deadlines.

I think I have enough time-off, I'm getting back to work!!

Went for bible study at ZW-QB hs in the afternoon.
A tad far, but a much better environment for Sunday aftnn BS compared to the warm and slp-inducing classrooms at PHS.



In the mood of Spring, but the weather is like... autumn?
Inconvenient. But nice :)



We talked abt Passion at BS.
And how do we sustain our passion for God.
I realise that everyone has their strengths and weaknesses and ups-and-downs in their r/s with God.
There are times when we are fervent for Him, there are times when we simply feel so sapped of energy.
But God is always there, calling us, waiting for us, pulling us.
I always feel revived aft BS.
Aft hearing God's words, sharing with and listening from my cell grp.
I need to be determined in the immediate goals I've set to achieve :)

The rain dis aftnn was CRAZY.
Went to meet mum at Orchard in the evening.



Dinner was really satisfying :)



Mummy absolutely love the Ginseng chicken soup.
I'm sure she'll be back for more in no time (she's a sucker for anything boiling hot).

Went shopping ard taka and saw the most gorgeous looking Harley I've ever seen.



Totally melts my heart I tell u...
I bet I'll be thinking of it for the nxt few days....
So perfect looking...

And during our search for Pop's belt, we saw this really good looking Ted Baker wallet ON SALE



The inner side is GOLD.
My heart melted again in the span of 10 mins.
Perfect little wallet... on sale somemore...
Not dat it's really cheap lah. That's y I din buy :( :( :(

Poppy, on the other hand, bought his perfect belt :)
We were at AX, but THANK goodness the belt he wanted didn't have his size.
If not we won't have seen the one at Boss.
Which is so much nice, better quality for sure, and is 2 interchangeable sides!!





I drove us home to let mum have a taste of my driving.
No complaints, just dat I still can't park properly.

Hello new week!!

of bloating and pimples.

Finally me and pops settled our air tix b4 the emirates fare offer ends.

Managed to get return tix to London - Gatwick at $880 inclusive of tax :) Happy!

Din fly to Heathrow coz it's 100+ more expensive.

And we're transiting at Dubai haha how exciting is dat... (thank goodness it's only a 4 hrs transit)

We're flying on 13th May and coming back on 12th June. 1mth in Europe omg!! :)

Had dinner at PS and went IT Fair to get new GPS!

Met up with grace, sarah and teresa for dinner.

SUPPOSED to be XLB buffet one leh!

Sarah if u're reading this.... better book nxt time k! I wanna eat!! haha

Still, it was great fun to meet up with them lah.

Chronicles of Salah at Work was a great hit during dinner.

Fantastic plot and the actress was a natural.

Had indigestion and a breaking back aft dat...



Made them a little gift each to make up for all the times I missed gatherings and all the birthday presents, cards and wishes they've been giving me.
I really feel so guilty!
Must meet up frequently and eat nice things tgt k :D



Went to meet pops and co. at arab st aft dat.
They were supposed to be on a diving trip, which got postponed due to bad weather over at Tioman.
How disappointing...
But thank God, they got to know the news b4 setting off, not so worrying :)
Well, at least they still get to go aft 2 weeks!

So pops stayed over last night and we had mac breakie at my fav mac

I drank the OJ and felt like I had stomach ache.
Went toilet and realised that it's the fav time of the mth.
Sigh.

U noe how everyone's looking for ways to predict particular things and trends (be it human behavior, criminal behavior, consumer behavior, stock market, property market.... wadever u name it)
I tell u, nth predicts period as well as PIMPLES and BLOATEDNESS.
damn scary these 2 things.

And I think because of the OJ, I'm having cramps.
Totally no mood to do anything useful at all.
But Addictive is due WEDNESDAY.
shit.

Yummy New Year :)

Was deciding between a couple of things to do as we usher in the new year, one of it was to go night cycling with Churchies. Which I was rather interested in because it'll be such a wonderful and interesting and not to mention healthy and adrenaline pumping (literally) way to kick-start the new year!
BUT. We suddenly realise that we can't go coz we have a bday party of a relative to attend the nxt day zzZZ...
So.. Instead of a healthy and sweaty start, we brought in the new year with FOOD.
yeah, wad's new right?
Well, the diff is we actually stayed at Poppy's home during NYE (when everyone's out crazy partying) and whipped up a feast for ourselves to celebrate 2010!
**Thinking abt all the food makes me hungry again!**

The items on our menu dat night were:
1) Roast Chicken with Lemon and Thyme
2) Lemon Spaghetti
3) Roasted Vegetables

We went grogery shopping at Giant (there was a crazy crowd dere... like everyone's gonna be cooking sth for NYE) and started cooking ard 6.30pm...

He was the chef and I was the assistant :)
Explains why I have the luxury to be taking photos while he slogged away :P


Very brief view of our ingredients:


The roast chicken was alot of work and one of the steps involve putting ur hands b/w the skin and the flesh of the chicken to put the butter paste inside... ew.




Initial plan was to put the vege to roast as the chicken twirl above the tray and the essence of the chicken will be dripping dwn on the vege.


But plan fail coz either the chicken was too big (which we doubt coz it was only abt 1 kg) or the oven is too small :(
So we had to wait for the chicken to be cooked b4 we put in the vege to roast...

It was alrdy 8+ and we were dying of hunger :(
But when we sniffed the sweet aroma of the chicken 40 mins ltr and saw the wonderful brown skin.....
All was worth it :D


As we sent our vege to roast, we started on our Lemon Spaghetti


And here we have it, a feast dat's supposed to feed like 4 ppl?

The sad thing is... we could not really taste the lemon zest in the chicken (which was a hell of tough work coz Poppy din have a shredder at home so I used a small knife to scrape the lemon skin), but the chicken was fabulous all the same :)
And the spag was YUMMY!! Super appetising.. a little sour, a little salty, a little refreshing..
*salivates again*

So we only had our dinner at 9pm and we could not finish the food but we were extremely satisfied and enjoyed the time we spent we each other :) :) :)
