And dat was not the best part of it!
1) The HR lady was really really nice. She asked me abt my KS bag the 1st thing I sat down hahaa
2) They upped my salary during the provisional period :D
3) Aft probation period, I will be a perm staff, not 2-years contract as I thot initially
4) I was supposed to start work the VERY next day aft I touched down, but upon hearing where I'm gng and the time dat I'll be arriving in Sg, the lady FORBIDDED me to go to work on 14th. "You MUST rest for a week."
5) I made a new fren coz another girl went to sign her apptmt letter abt the same time as me. Diff dept but it was nice coz we went thru the medical check-up tgt :)))
I dunno what the work env will be like and I dunno if I'll be buried in a mountain of workload when I start working, but I can say I'm really really blessed with this opp as far as I'm concerned. And it's super amazing coz I was just telling giant I have to start work the day I return to sg and we were discussing wad a stupid idea of mine it was to tell them I can start working on the 14th. I prayed abt it last night and viola! Nth escapes God's perfect plan :)
Anw I went to Newlook again today (familiar changing room haha) and bought another dress and a pair of pumps. Newlook is seriously draining my money away :(
Met pops and his frens whom we'll be travelling tgt with in Europe.
Nice bunch!! And his frens like to shop lah I likeeee! hahaha

Met pops aft dat for LATE lunch at 4pm, aft the check-up...
I left hm early to take instant photos to pass to the HR today, and b4 dat I had to send in a soft copy, so I sent in one that pops took for me. During the signing of the apptmt letter, we took 15 mins to decide which photo shld I put on my staff pass... in the end we chose the one that pops took for me coz she thinks I look pwetty inside zzz
Gave dinner at Goodwoodpark with pops and his fam a miss and met mum for SHOPPING in the eveng instead hohoho..
Pops called to tell me abt the VERY NICE durian puff. shat, it's GWP's durian fest again -_-
But I wanted to spend more time with mum coz I'll be leaving next week for A MONTH... I'm gng to miss herrrrr :(
We had a good long chat during supper, eating KFC buddy meal hahaha I love my mum :)
I think we're both ppl who are worried abt getting fat but cant be bothered with trying to slim down...
And so it seems like everythings all good and well today yeah?
No it's not.
Coz I'm acting like I've finished my exams, even have time to blog and reply FB messages.
When I still have ONE more paper on Fri which I have not touched A SINGLE BIT.
argh!
And now I panic :((((

ReplyDeleteIt depends on whether you do Hons and also your class of Hons. Because I have not completed my exams and get my official transcript, my "provisional salary" will be that of a bachelor with pass. That's ard $2.5K+ and aft getting the transcript, they will adjust according to your results, so I think it ranges from $2.5K+ to ard low $3K+? that's just my approximation, hope it helps :)

ReplyDeleteHonestly I'm not sure abt the whole dept coz I haven't met everyone there, but I do see couple of guys there as well, maybe more ladies. But don't worry, coz I have a couple of friends in this field who are males and performing pretty well. So I dun think it's a strictly female preferred working env, maybe just that more ladies chose this field compared to guys :)
If u have interest in this field, no harm trying it out!
